After touring the world at various festivals RA CHOI is finally coming to play at home. It will feature as part of the Indie Screen section of this year's Sydney Film Festival running from 9th June to the 25th June.

The film will be shown at The Dendy Opera Quays at the following times:
1.15pm Sat 10 June
6.00pm Sun 11 June

Both screenings will be attended by director Michael Frank, associate producer Milli Howson and many of the cast and crew.

Michael Frank will also be taking part in Filmspeak; a series of forums and lectures taking place at the World Movies Festival Lounge adjacent to The State Theatre. He will be talking on June 22 at 2.30pm on Creative Independence and How to Keep It.

We are happy to report that the sold out world premiere of RA CHOI at the London Australian Film Festival went down a storm and paves the way for a busy next few months on the festival circuit. The film will now also be playing at the prestigious Rome Independent Film Festival (April 7-13) www.riff.tv and the Worldfest Houston Film Festival (April 21-30) www.worldfest.org

For any Australian readers we are pleased to announce that director Michael Frank will be appearing on The Movie Show on SBS, he will be interviewed by shows host Megan Spencer. The interview will be screened on Wednesday 22nd March at 8pm.

After being named best film at the Australian Writers Guild awards, RA CHOI has been awarded Commended at the Australian National Literary Awards.

The National Literary Awards attract hundreds of entries from every state of Australia and success in this award is a reflection of both the quality of the entry and strength as a writer Gail Blundell, Co-ordinator, National Literary Awards.

Against the odds, RA CHOI has beaten its fellow nominees to scoop the prestigious BEST FEATURE FILM award at the 38th annual Australian Writers Guild Awards (The AWGIEs) held in Melbourne;s Regent Theatre Plaza Ballroom on Friday 25th November 2005.

A multi award winner for his short film work, writer, director and producer M. Frank's debut feature competed against Little Fish, Three Dollars and Look Both Ways. The AWGIE awards celebrate the success of Australian writers in film, television, radio and the stage. Previous winners of BEST FEATURE FILM include Somersault, Japanese Story and Rolf de Heer's, The Tracker.
